The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is offering an exceptional Summer 2026 Internship opportunity for motivated students interested in business operations, management information systems, and financial regulation. This paid, full-time internship provides hands-on experience within one of the most influential financial institutions in the world while contributing to the stability and efficiency of the U.S. economy.

As part of the Federal Reserve System, the Atlanta Fed plays a vital role in monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and national payment systems. Interns in the Supervision & Regulation (S&R) division support internal operations that help ensure the safety and soundness of the financial system across the Sixth Federal Reserve District.
This internship is ideal for students who want their work to have real-world impact while developing professional skills in data analysis, operational efficiency, and risk management.
What You’ll Do
During the 10–12 week summer program, interns will work 40 hours per week and contribute to meaningful projects, including:

Supporting process improvement initiatives and operational reporting (MIS)

Enhancing event budget documentation and cost analysis
-
Assisting with event coordination and vendor communication
-
Supporting procurement processes and data contract management
-
Organizing and improving a SharePoint-based training repository
-
Conducting research on best practices in operations and event management
-
Preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
-
Collaborating across teams to improve efficiency and workflows
Who Should Apply

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Ability to commit to a full-time summer schedule

U.S. citizenship (required for Supervision & Regulation roles)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint

Experience with Power BI and Tableau
-
Understanding of risk management standards
