Call for Applications Future Leaders Network (FLN)

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is inviting dynamic, purpose-driven young people to apply for its Future Leaders Network (FLN). This initiative is designed to empower emerging leaders across the Caribbean who are committed to sustainable development and social impact. If you’re passionate about creating positive change in your community and beyond, this is your chance to connect, grow, and lead.

  What is the Future Leaders Network?

The Future Leaders Network is a 24-month leadership and engagement program facilitated by the Caribbean Development Bank. It brings together young changemakers from across the region to collaborate on development challenges, share ideas, and amplify youth voices in policy and programming.

Participants will engage in a mix of virtual and in-person activities, including:

  • Leadership development workshops
  • Regional networking events
  • Consultations with CDB and partner organizations
  • Opportunities to contribute to youth-focused initiatives
  • Advocacy and storytelling platforms to share impact

  Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Future Leaders Network, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of application
  • Be a citizen or legal resident of a CDB Borrowing Member Country
  • Demonstrate leadership experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Community development
    • Professional or workplace initiatives
    • Academic leadership
    • Youth-led programs or advocacy
  • Show a clear commitment to sustainable development and positive social impact in the Caribbean
  • Be able to actively participate in FLN activities for the full 24-month term, including:
    • Online meetings and workshops
    • Regional travel and in-person engagements (as applicable)

  Who Should Apply?

CDB strongly encourages applications from young people who are:

  • Passionate about solving development challenges in the Caribbean
  • Actively involved in youth empowerment, climate action, education, health, or economic inclusion
  • From underrepresented or marginalized groups, including:
    • Indigenous communities
    • Persons with disabilities
    • LGBTQ+ youth
    • Rural or remote populations
    • Economically disadvantaged backgrounds
