iScholar – International Student Summer Research Program
The iScholar Program at the University of Rochester’s Department of Chemistry is a highly competitive summer research opportunity for undergraduate and master’s students from outside the US. Participants will conduct full-time research under faculty supervision, gain mentorship, and engage in networking and seminars with peers and faculty.

Program Dates: 1 June – 31 July 2026
Location: Rochester, NY, USA
Funding: Weekly stipend, on-campus accommodation, health insurance, and up to $1,250 travel support
Who Should Apply

Current undergraduate or master’s students outside the US
-
Students not in or having pursued a PhD program
-
Focused on chemistry or related fields (physics, biology, engineering, computer science, etc.)
-
Planning to pursue a PhD in chemistry in the United States, preferably starting in 2027
Program Benefits
