PRINCETON, N.J. – The Dow Jones News Fund (DJNF) is officially accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Internship Program, offering college journalists across the United States a unique opportunity to launch their careers in professional newsrooms. Since its inception, the Dow Jones News Fund has been dedicated to developing the next generation of journalists through immersive internship opportunities. The 2026 summer program will place successful candidates in more than 70 newsrooms nationwide, spanning areas such as business reporting, data journalism, digital media, audience engagement, and multiplatform editing.

  2. Take the qualifying test – After submitting the application, students will receive an email from Synap to create an account. Applicants will then complete the online qualifying test, which is required for consideration.

Information and Test Prep Sessions

To assist applicants, DJNF will host two information sessions and two test preparation sessions:

Additionally, students and faculty may request a virtual visit from a DJNF representative to present program details to classes, student organizations, or newsrooms.
