To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Age: Applicants must be at least 20 years old.
• Academic Requirements: Applicants must have completed at least three years of full-time university studies towards a first degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) or be enrolled in a graduate program.
• Post-Graduation Eligibility: Graduates may apply up to one year after receiving their bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree.
• Language Proficiency: A working knowledge of English (both oral and written) is essential. Proficiency in other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.
• Adaptability: Interns should demonstrate the ability to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment with strong communication skills and the capacity to work effectively in a team.

Financial Support and Benefits

The IAEA offers a stipend of €1000 per month to support the living expenses of interns during their time at the Agency. This stipend is not a salary, but an allowance to assist with subsistence costs while interning full-time.
