World Intellectual Property Organization Young Experts Program 2026–2027 Now Open
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) invites passionate early-career professionals to apply for the WIPO Young Experts Program (YEP) 2026–2027, a unique two-year opportunity based in Geneva, Switzerland. This competitive program is designed for young professionals committed to the role of intellectual property (IP) in innovation, creativity, and sustainable development.
What is the WIPO Young Experts Program?
The YEP equips emerging professionals with deep knowledge of both technical and strategic aspects of IP. Participants work directly on WIPO’s diverse initiatives, gaining exposure to global policymaking, multilateral collaboration, and leadership development.
This is not a recruitment program. Instead, it aims to strengthen participants’ capacity to contribute to economic growth in their countries and regions. Participants cannot apply for WIPO roles during or for two years after the program.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application
-
Commit to the full 24-month program (2026–2027)
-
Hold at least a first-level university degree
-
Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
-
Demonstrate strong analytical, research, and organizational skills
-
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-
Be fluent in written and spoken English
-
Have knowledge or experience in IP, innovation, or creativity
