Call for Youth Innovations: Submit Bold Solutions for Ghana’s Future – Deadline 30 July 2025

Introduction

Young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they’re the changemakers of today. In recognition of this truth, the UN Country Team in Ghana, in collaboration with the Unite Ideas platform, is launching an exciting call for action to youth, startups, innovators, and cross-sector collaborators across Ghana.

This initiative invites creative, bold, and actionable solutions that address six critical transitions shaping the future of Ghana and the world. Whether it’s a policy idea, a grassroots campaign, a tech prototype, or a sustainable business model, this is your chance to be heard.

Top ideas will be showcased and awarded on International Youth Day, with exposure to UN partners, innovation hubs, and incubator networks that can help bring your solution to life.

What We’re Looking For

We invite submissions that respond to one or more of the following Six Key Transitions:

• Food Systems – innovations in agriculture, nutrition, supply chains, or sustainable farming

• Energy Access & Affordability – clean energy solutions, microgrids, or affordability models

• Digital Connectivity – tech tools, access solutions, or digital equity initiatives

• Education & Inclusion – inclusive learning models, edtech, or equitable education reforms

• Jobs and Social Protection – employment creation, gig economy tools, or social safety nets

• Climate Change, Biodiversity & Pollution – green tech, environmental campaigns, or nature-based solutions

Who Can Apply

This campaign is open to:

• Ghanaian youth aged 15–35

• Startups, student groups, community organizations, and cross-sector teams

• Individuals or organizations with a strong connection to Ghana’s development goals

• Any team or individual passionate about creating practical, scalable solutions for social or environmental impact
