The UK National Node of the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI-UK) is inviting applications for its first call under the National Research Fellowship Programme (NRFP). This new initiative aims to support and stimulate Holocaust research in the United Kingdom and British Isles.

About the Fellowship

The EHRI-UK National Research Fellowship Programme is designed to empower researchers, archivists, librarians, curators, and early-career scholars—particularly PhD candidates with limited resources. The programme focuses on Holocaust-related research, including its prehistory, aftermath, and the evolving role of antisemitism.

Fellowships will support access to key archives and institutions for 1 to 4 weeks, offering stipends to cover travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs. Fellows will benefit from guided access to archival collections, research assistance, and opportunities to participate in institutional activities such as seminars, conferences, and workshops.

Fellowship Benefits

Upon completion, Fellows will be asked to submit a short report and are encouraged to acknowledge EHRI-UK in any publications resulting from the research.

Application Process

Interested candidates must submit the following documents:

  1. Completed application form

  2. Curriculum Vitae (max 2 pages)

  3. Project proposal (max 2 pages), detailing research goals and relevance of host institution

  4. Two referees’ names who can be contacted for letters of support
