We’re awarding grants ranging from $10,000 to over $300,000 to individuals, teams, and organizations working on critical challenges at the intersection of AI safety, neuroscience, forecasting, and coordination.

Focus Areas We Fund:

 1. Security Technologies for AI-Relevant Systems

Funding tools and infrastructure that protect advanced AI, including:

• Automated red-teaming

• Formal verification methods

• Decentralized cryptographic protocols

 2. Neurotechnology to Integrate with or Compete Against AGI

Support for human-aligned or brain-inspired innovation, such as:

• Brain-computer interfaces

• Lo-fi brain emulations

• Neuroscience-driven AI models

 3. Automating Research and Forecasting

Grants for AI tools that accelerate research and predict technological progress, including:

• Open-source AI assistants

• Continuous modeling frameworks

• Collaborative forecasting platforms

 4. Safe Multi-Agent Scenarios

Support for making multi-agent systems safer and more cooperative, covering:

• Collusion prevention tools

• Group coordination mechanisms

• Pro-social agent behavior modeling

 Who Can Apply:

• Individuals, researchers, or academic labs

• Startups, nonprofits, or cross-disciplinary teams

• Organizations aligned with one or more of the four core domains

Note: Proposals outside these areas will not be considered.

Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed quarterly.

• December 31

Expect decisions within 8 weeks of each deadline.

• Annual grant pool: $4.5M–$5.5M

• Typical award size: $10,000 to $300,000+

• Multi-year or milestone-based grants available

• Overhead up to 10% allowed for eligible expenses
