2026 Eisenhower Fellowships Global Program: Applications Now Open (Fully-funded to USA)

Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) is now accepting applications for its 2026 Global Program. In spring 2026, EF will bring together a dynamic and diverse group of visionaries from around the world for an extraordinary leadership development experience in the United States.

This nearly six-week program will feature both in-person and virtual components, offering Fellows the opportunity to develop a project, cultivate professional relationships, and launch impactful collaborations with American counterparts and the broader EF network of more than 1,800 active Fellows.

Selected Fellows will enhance their leadership skills, expand their global networks, and deepen their commitment to building a more peaceful, prosperous, and just world. Eisenhower Fellowships seeks individuals with a proven track record of leadership, high potential for future impact, and a dedication to lifelong engagement with EF’s mission of fostering international understanding through dialogue and collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 2026 Global Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Citizenship and Residence: Candidates must hold citizenship and/or have lived for at least five years in the country they intend to represent. Applicants residing in the United States are not eligible for the international programs.

• Regional Impact: Applicants from countries where EF is not currently active must demonstrate significant regional impact and provide a letter of recommendation from a member of the EF global network.

• Age Range: Priority is given to candidates between 32 and 45 years old at the time of the program. Candidates slightly outside this range may still be considered if they excel in other selection criteria.

• English Proficiency: Strong proficiency in English is required to participate fully in program activities.

• Professional Commitment: Selected Fellows must secure approval for leave from their employer and commit full-time to the program, tentatively scheduled from early April to mid-May 2026.

Additional important considerations include:

• Fellows may not bring children or spouses during the program. EF does not fund spousal travel.

• Candidates must not have completed another fellowship within the past two years.

• The fellowship cannot be used to secure business deals, solicit funding, or seek financial support.

• All application essays must be original. Use of generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) is strictly prohibited and will disqualify applicants.

• EF Fellows and network members may only recommend one applicant per cycle.

• Review and Interviews: May – July 2025

• Selection Announcement: August 2025

• In-Person Program: Early April – Mid-May 2026
