GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2025 – Win Up to US$50,000

Applications are now open for the 2025 GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition, one of Africa’s premier opportunities for young entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector. With a total prize pool of US$160,000, the competition aims to support and spotlight youth-led agribusinesses driving innovation and transformation in Africa’s food systems.

The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize is a key feature of the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF), the continent’s leading forum focused on practical action to improve food and agriculture. The theme for the 2025 Forum is “Africa’s Youth: Leading Collaboration, Innovation and Implementation of Agri-Food Systems Transformation.” Finalists will pitch their ventures live at AFSF 2025, taking place from 31 August to 5 September 2025 in Dakar, Senegal.

Prize Details

Two grand prizes of US$50,000 each will be awarded—one to a leading male agripreneur and the other to a leading female agripreneur.
An additional US$60,000 in Impact Awards will be distributed to businesses that demonstrate excellence in areas such as:

• Agri-tech and innovation

• Nutrition and food security

• Rural livelihoods and job creation

• Climate resilience and environmental sustainability

• Gender equity

• Natural resource management

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2025, applicants must:

• Be aged 35 or younger at the time of application submission

• Be a citizen of an African Union member state

• Be a founder or co-founder of a legally registered agribusiness operating in Africa (the venture must be registered by 10 June 2025)

4. Ensure your application is submitted no later than 10 June 2025 to be considered for the US$160,000 prize pool and an invitation to pitch live in Dakar, Senegal.
