The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), through its Pathogen Genomics Initiative (Africa PGI) under the Centre for Laboratory Diagnostics and Systems, invites applications for its 2025 Short-term Bioinformatics Fellowship. This fellowship offers 100 training opportunities to public health professionals working in national laboratories and affiliated institutions across African Union Member States.

This fellowship is part of Africa CDC’s strategic initiative to strengthen Africa’s bioinformatics and pathogen genomics workforce. It focuses on providing hands-on, short-term training to enable public health practitioners to:
