What Interns Will Do

Interns on the Africa Team will have the chance to:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on political developments in Sub-Saharan Africa

• Support analysts in preparing political risk assessments for clients

• Gain training in political risk methodology and presentation techniques

• Attend internal and client-facing discussions on geopolitical and economic trends

• Assist with administrative tasks to support the team’s workflow

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for students who:

• Are currently enrolled in an academic institution

• Are authorized to work in the United States

• Have an academic background and strong interest in Sub-Saharan African politics

• Can conduct independent research and synthesize findings

• Possess strong analytical and writing skills

• Have excellent communication and presentation abilities in English

• Can manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines

• Are collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable using digital collaboration tools

Internship Details

• Dates: June 2 – August 1, 2025 (40 hours per week)

• Location: Washington, DC

• Compensation: $18 per hour
