Call for Proposals: Digital Advocacy Grants for Youth Organisations in Africa – €25,000 Grant for a Nine-month Project
The Youth Democracy Cohort (YDC) has launched a call for proposals under the Digitalise Youth project, inviting organisations in the Sahel, West Africa, and the Horn of Africa to apply for Digital Advocacy Grants. These grants aim to strengthen youth participation in digital advocacy by engaging national governments in multi-stakeholder dialogues.
Grant Details
Selected organisations will receive a €25,000 grant for a nine-month project (June 2025 – March 2026). The grants will support advocacy efforts focused on:
- Promoting youth rights in the digital sphere
- Influencing the regulation of digital spaces
- Protecting digital platforms as spaces for human rights advocacy
Organisations are encouraged to propose strategies tailored to their local context. The YDC will provide technical and financial support, along with networking opportunities and additional assistance in democracy support, advocacy, and youth participation.

Eligibility Criteria
Organisations must:
- Be a registered legal entity
- Be based in Senegal, Benin, Guinea, Mauritania, Togo, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, or Chad
- Organisations with limited access to funding and little experience working with large donors are strongly encouraged to apply
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to join the Youth Democracy Cohort (YDC) and apply to this call as members of the YDC.

Deadline
The deadline for draft submissions is Friday, 11 April 2025, 23:59 West Africa Time (WAT).

Two online information sessions will be held:
- French Session: Wednesday, 26 March, at 11:00 WAT / 10:00 GMT Join the session
