About the Role
The selected candidate will manage complex, cross-functional projects aimed at influencing global energy and climate outcomes. You’ll coordinate teams, manage project timelines, mitigate risks, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
As a Program Manager, your focus will be on developing strategies that align with Google’s commitment to sustainability and net-zero emissions, while driving impactful change within global systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct foresight analysis by researching energy and climate trends, running scenario planning workshops, and synthesizing findings to shape advocacy strategies.
- Monitor evolving net zero and emissions standards (e.g., SBTi, GHGP) and assess their implications for Google’s climate leadership.
- Build and maintain relationships with influential stakeholders across NGOs, academia, and industry to strengthen Google’s advocacy positions.
- Design and implement multi-year advocacy campaigns that elevate Google’s global leadership and inspire collaborative climate action.
- Collaborate with internal teams across operations, sustainability, communications, marketing, and policy to develop cohesive and impactful advocacy strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of project or program management experience.
- Proven track record in sustainability, energy, or climate change-related initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years managing cross-functional or large-scale projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage executives, team members, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of global sustainability strategies and regional priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership in global climate action initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $139,000 – $207,000 (varies by location)
