Apply to be a Volunteer for Global Conference of Children & Youth (COY 20)
The Global Conference of Children & Youth (COY) is a YOUNGO flagship event that aims to empower children and youth and formally bring their voices to the UNFCCC processes to shape the intergovernmental climate change policies. The four major components of the COY are:
- Policy Document
- Capacity Building
- Skill-building Workshops and
- Cultural Exchange
This year, COY20 will take place in Brazil a few days prior to the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30). COY is the biggest and most substantial child and youth conference related to the multilateral UN climate processes. COY will serve as a space to prepare children & young people for their participation at COP and will bring together all collected inputs from children and youth, which will feed directly into the climate negotiations via the Global Youth Statement on Climate Justice.

Important note: Volunteering does not guarantee attendance to the conference.
The timeline for this applications is outlined as follows:
- Form with form sent out via social media: February 19th
- Closure of the Call for Interest form: February 26th
- Screening process deadline: March 4th
- Email to those who expressed interest: March 5th
- Onboarding call: March 8th
