2025 Spring-Summer Internship Program at Ashinaga(Stipend available – remote or onsite options and open to international students)

Ashinaga, a non-profit organization based in Japan, provides educational and emotional support for orphaned students worldwide. Our internship program spans various departments, offering interns the opportunity to choose fields within the organization and contribute to turning Ashinaga into an international NGO. Since its inception, over 500 interns from more than 90 global universities have participated in our program.

For 2025, the internship offers a hybrid structure for those based in Japan and a remote setup for interns outside Japan.

About Ashinaga:
Ashinaga supports children who have lost their parents due to illness, disaster, suicide, or other hardships, providing them with scholarships, educational support, and emotional care to help them thrive and succeed.

If you’re passionate about making a difference, this is your opportunity to gain experience in the social sector, either remotely or in a hybrid setup (for Japan-based interns). This internship will allow you to contribute to impactful, life-changing projects.

Program Overview:
Interns will work with various teams at Ashinaga’s Tokyo headquarters, guided by a dedicated supervisor. They will gain valuable skills and insights into working at an international NGO. The internship runs from 12 May to 18 July 2025, with the possibility of extending until 12 September 2025 depending on performance and team needs. Interns will work approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate their school commitments. Additional online events will offer opportunities to learn about Ashinaga’s operations and interact with Ashinaga scholars.

Program Benefits:

• Lunch Stipend: 1,000 JPY per working day
• Work-related Travel Expenses: Covered for Japan-based interns
