The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at AUB is designed to prepare young people as agents of change in their communities. This $9 million initiative provides:

• Full tuition scholarships
• Accommodation and living expenses

Scholarships for On-Campus Graduate Programs

Programs Covered

Scholarships are available for:

• Master’s degrees (thesis and non-thesis tracks)
• PhD programs

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s Scholarships: Open to nationals of African countries, Lebanese citizens, and refugees living in Lebanon or Africa.
• PhD Scholarships: Open to nationals of African countries and refugees living in Africa.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be selected based on:

• Strong academic performance in previous degrees.
• Demonstrated financial need.
• Leadership potential.
• A commitment to giving back to their community or region.
• Readiness for University Studies in English (RUSE) by May 30, 2025, evidenced through tests like TOEFL, IELTS, or DUOLINGO English Test.
• Applicants must be 35 years or younger.

Application Process

1. Complete the AUB online graduate application and upload required documents by May 16, 2025.
2. Select Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program under Financial Opportunities in the application.
3. Submit the AUB Financial Aid Application (accessible 1–3 days after submitting your graduate application).

Scholarships for Online Graduate Programs

Programs Covered

The following five online master’s programs are eligible:

• Master’s in Engineering Management
• Master’s in Computing in Education
• Master’s in Business Administration
• Master in Nursing Administration and Management
• Executive Master in Healthcare Leadership

Additional Requirements

• Similar selection and eligibility criteria as on-campus scholarships.
• Submit RUSE scores by June 20, 2025.

2. Submit RUSE scores by the June 20 deadline.

2. Upload supporting documents as per the requirements indicated on the online application.
