About YGC Awards:
The Global Solutions Initiative presents the “Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards” to recognize and reward young changemakers worldwide.
The awards aim to align economic prosperity with environmental sustainability and the needs of society.
Winners can join the Young Global Changers Extended Circle, Community, or receive a scholarship to the Global Solutions Summit in Berlin.
Award Categories:
Reimagine Business: Drive change in business practices for the environment and community.
Reimagine Social & Climate Action: Combat social and climate issues through innovative projects.
Reimagine Civic Engagement: Empower citizens and promote transparency in decision-making.
Application Timeline:
OCT 31: Application closes
JAN 7: Top 50 announced
JAN 31: Finalists announced
MAY 5–6: Top 15 at Global Solutions Summit in Berlin
Benefits:
ALL ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS join the Young Global Changers Extended Circle where they receive invitations to Global Solutions events, workshops and more.
TOP 50 will become the 2025 cohort and new members of the Young Global Changers community. Their projects will be presented on the Global Solutions Initiative website.
TOP 15 will receive a full scholarship to join the Global Solutions Summit 2025 in Berlin, where they present their projects to a jury of experts and a global audience.
3 CATEGORY WINNERS in the categories „Reimagine Business,” “Reimagine Social & Climate Action,” and “Reimagine Civic Engagement” will receive a €2,500 prize each and additional support for their project.
Eligibility for the participants
Individuals Only: Only individual people can apply. You cannot apply as an organization, only as its representative.
Leading Role: Participants should have a leading position in the project or initiative they are applying with. (This can be the founder, co-founder, project-lead, initiator or a similar role.)
Strong English
Age: between the ages of 18 and 35.
Motivation: The applicants should show motivation to become active members of a global network
Eligibility for all Projects
Recoupling: The project, business, or initiative with which you apply needs to aim at recoupling, i.e., a better alignment of economic or political activities with social well-being and environmental sustainability. This means putting the needs of people and environmental sustainability at the center of economic and/or political activities.
Organizational Stage: The project or initiative must be beyond the idea stage. It should be currently active and running.
