Apply for a Ph.D. in Integrative Conservation at the University of Georgia

🌍 Overview:

As global environmental challenges increase, conservation practices evolve to meet them head on. The ICON Ph.D. Program at the University of Georgia prepares students to work across disciplines to tackle complex conservation issues.

🔍 Focus:

Students gain expertise in one of five fields (Anthropology, Geography, Ecology, Forestry, or Marine Sciences) while collaborating with diverse disciplines.

Minimum qualifications:

  •  a Master’s degree in any social science field (economics, anthropology, geography, political science, or human dimensions of natural resources).
  • strong quantitative skills
  • demonstrate excellent writing and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of Hindi is preferred but not essential.
  • Candidates with relevant methodological and theoretical training will be prioritized.

  • Adhere to admission guidelines of UGA Graduate School, home department, and ICON program
  • Apply by December 1st for consideration for graduate assistantships and admissions interview
