Opportunity: Become a Programme Manager at Global Girl Project to Empower Girls Globally
Global Girl Project is seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Manager to join our remote team dedicated to feminist and anti-colonial development work. This is a pivotal role that will help drive our programming forward as we expand our impact globally in the coming year.
The successful candidate will oversee our flagship leadership initiative, the Global Girl Leadership Initiative, and support our global partners and regional programme coordinators to deliver high-quality programming. This role also involves developing our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system to enhance our impact measurement and communication processes.
Additionally, the Programme Manager will work on the Global Graduates Connect programme, a unique network for girls who have participated in our leadership programming. This initiative aims to create powerful opportunities and support systems, requiring someone who can translate ideas into actionable projects and identify innovative funding models.
Practicalities
- Contract Type: Full-time (32 hours/week, 4 days) for 12 months, with the intention to extend based on funding and fit.
- Location: Candidates must reside in one of our operational regions; applications from the Global North are not accepted.
- Pay Rate: Compensation will be adjusted based on the candidate’s location and cost of living.
- Availability: Candidates must be available during our ‘golden hours’ (10 AM – 3 PM UK time) and may need to work flexibly to support global partners.
Key Responsibilities
Programmes & Impact (45% of time)
- Develop a new curriculum to empower girls in community change and network engagement.
- Collaborate with the CEO to strategize the expansion of the Global Girl Leadership Initiative.
- Enhance our MEL system, focusing on longitudinal data collection and network impact measurement.
- Oversee programming across ten global locations with the support of Regional Programme Coordinators.
- Foster a global network of girls driving community change.
Fundraising (35% of time)
- Build strong, equitable relationships with global implementation partners to enhance collaborative fundraising.
- Establish an ecosystem of partners to facilitate connections, learning, and new funding opportunities.
Administration (20% of time)
- Manage content creation for our online learning platform.
- Supervise and support Regional Programme Coordinators.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures across all programming.
About You
You Will Be:

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications
Essential:
- Programme Management: Minimum of 5 years in programme management and impact measurement, with 3 years managing international programs.
- Regional Experience: Direct programming experience in at least three regions: Latin America, Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, East Asia.
- Curriculum Development: Experience designing curriculums for marginalized young people, particularly girls.
- Impact Measurement: Familiarity with MEL frameworks and data gathering tools.
- Fundraising: Proven ability to create innovative funding partnerships and successful proposals.
- Cross-Cultural Skills: Experience in international contexts, strong technical skills, and proficiency in English.
Desired:
- Familiarity with SquareSpace.
- An undergraduate degree.
