Who Should Apply?
The scholarship is open to:
– Youth between the ages of 21 and 35 years.
– Citizens of any of the 54 African states.
– Final-year students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) at an African university.
– Students with a demonstrated financial need, who require the scholarship to cover their final year tuition fees.
– Those with a proven track record of academic excellence, maintaining a 70% or higher average in the current and previous years of study.
The scholarship particularly encourages applications from young women and youth from marginalized populations, aiming to support those who are often underrepresented in higher education.
Eligible Fields of Study
The scholarship supports studies in a broad range of development-related fields. While all fields contributing to Africa’s development are considered, particular emphasis is placed on health sciences and gender studies.
