IGF 2024 Call for Travel Support

To participate in the 19th Annual IGF Meeting hosted by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh from 15 to 19 December 2024.

About the Forum:

The mandate of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) calls for strengthening and enhancing stakeholder engagement from developing countries. It also calls for the Forum to contribute to building capacity for Internet governance in developing countries, drawing fully on local sources of knowledge and expertise.

• Need for diverse voices and multidisciplinary approach in IGF participation
• Limited support for eligible candidates from developing countries at IGF 2024

Eligibility Criteria

• Represent any stakeholder group
• From Least Developed Country, Landlocked Developing Country, Small Island Developing State or Economy in Transition
• Engaged in IGF 2024 process as active contributors
• Demonstrated interest in Internet governance-related activities
• Demonstrated commitment to community post-participation
• Recommended by respected community member
• Preference given to underrepresented groups

Selection Procedure

• IGF Secretariat evaluates applications based on eligible criteria
• Priority for partial funding and first-time applicants
• Selection dependent on available funds
• Final participants balanced by stakeholder, region, gender, and age
