The White House Opens Volunteer Applications for the 2024 Holiday Season
The President and First Lady are thrilled to uphold the cherished tradition of welcoming volunteer holiday decorators and performers to the White House for the 2024 holiday season. If you are interested in contributing to this festive occasion, applications are now open.
Who Can Apply?
The White House encourages volunteer applications from across all U.S. states and territories. Special consideration is given to military-connected family members, educators, and students.
Important Dates:
- Application Deadline: Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. ET
- Notification of Selection: On or after Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. ET
Note: All selected volunteers must cover their own travel, accommodations, and personal expenses.
Volunteer Holiday Decorator Application
If you have a passion for decorating and wish to help adorn the White House for the holiday season, you can apply HERE. Each individual must submit a separate application; group applications will not be accepted.
Eligibility: Applicants must be over the age of 18 and available in Washington, D.C., during the week of Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Volunteer Holiday Performer Application
For performers and musical groups, including school bands, choirs, and holiday-themed entertainers, there is an opportunity to perform during White House holiday tours. Interested parties can apply HERE.
Performance Dates: White House holiday tours will take place from Tuesday, December 3, 2024, to Saturday, December 21, 2024.
