Call for Applications: Globalink Research Award for South African students in Canada

The NRF-Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) programme offers an exciting opportunity for doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows in South Africa to gain research experience in Canada. This collaboration aims to strengthen international research partnerships between South African and Canadian universities.

Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

• a CAD 6,000 research award to conduct a 12- to 24-week research project in Canada.

Eligibility:

• being a South African citizen or permanent resident,
• being registered at a South African public institution of higher learning,
• being currently a Doctoral student or Postdoctoral fellow,
• and not having previously received a Globalink Research Award.

*Participants cannot undertake a research project at an institution where they have previously completed a degree.

Application:

• Application deadline: 30 August 2024
• Funding outcome: December 2024/January 2025
