About the Council:

The Council of Europe is a multicultural organization with over 2,500 staff members from its 46 member States. The Youth Department, part of the Directorate for Democracy, focuses on developing effective youth policies at local, national, and European levels. The department supports international youth activities to promote active citizenship and the values of human rights, democracy, and cultural pluralism.

About the Role:

As an Educational Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • planning, implementing, and evaluating non-formal education and training activities at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg and Budapest
  • you will work on projects in the Youth for Democracy program,
  • coordinate with other Council of Europe sectors,
  • and ensure the integration of relevant standards into educational activities

Qualifications and skills required:

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • possess a higher education degree in fields related to education, youth, or social sciences,
  • a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in youth-related education and training
  • Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • Key competencies include teamwork, relationship building, creativity, problem-solving, and initiative.
