Internship Opportunity: MobiliseYourCity Mobility Intern
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of the Secretariat, the Mobility Intern will gain comprehensive knowledge and experience in sustainable urban mobility, particularly within the Global South. The role offers exposure to capacity building for local and national governments, stakeholder management, and development cooperation across Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
Learning Objectives:
1.Understand the dynamics of sustainable urban mobility plans and policies.
2.Explore urban mobility trends and challenges in the Global South.
3.Gain practical experience in capacity building for sustainable mobility.
4.Develop skills in managing stakeholder relations within a complex network.
5.Familiarize with climate policy and NDC implementation in the transport sector.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in developing and implementing capacity-building activities.
•Support the planning and execution of training series and events.
•Conduct research and data collection on urban mobility projects.
•Prepare technical articles, guidance documents, and presentations.
•Contribute to communication efforts, including newsletters and social media content.
•Develop fact sheets, summaries, and lessons learned documents.
•Aid in knowledge and network management within the team and with external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
•Completed university studies in relevant fields (transport, economics, engineering, politics, communication, or social sciences).
•Proficiency in French and English; Spanish is a plus.
•Understanding of sustainable urban mobility challenges, especially in the Global South.
•Experience in international development cooperation, particularly in climate change and urban mobility, is preferred.
•Strong digital and social media skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
•Proficiency in office programs and design software; openness to AI tools.
