Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in Belgium is seeking three PhD researchers to join a project investigating the intersection of just transition and the circular economy. The Project: Analysing and Identifying the Circular Economy’s contribution to a just Transition. A Transdisciplinary Environmental Justice Approach in the Brussels Capital Region (AICE-T-)
The AICE-T project aims to understand how circular economy initiatives can promote a just transition towards a more sustainable future. The project will focus on the Brussels Capital Region and will address the following questions:
- How do existing circular economy initiatives address social and environmental issues?
- How can these initiatives be strengthened to ensure fairer and more equitable outcomes?
The Positions
UCLouvain is recruiting three PhD researchers, each with a specific area of expertise:
- PhD1 (Sociology & Organization Studies): Expertise in resolving ethical conflicts in organizational settings.
- PhD2 (Management & Social Entrepreneurship): Expertise in participatory governance.
- PhD3 (Human or Social Geography): Expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis of environmental justice issues.
