Exciting news for technology-driven startups in Ghana! The UNICEF StartUp Lab, as part of the ‘KOICA-UNICEF Accelerating Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Ghana project,’ is now accepting applications for its 4th cohort.

About UNICEF StartUp Lab: Established in 2019, the UNICEF StartUp Lab is a 6-month accelerator program supporting technology-driven social impact startups. It focuses on sectors like Health, Education, Urban Services, WASH, Climate Action, Child Protection, Finance, Agriculture, Blockchain, AI/ML, and Cybersecurity.

Program Benefits:

  • Mentorship from UNICEF experts.
  • Access to UNICEF’s global network and partners.
  • Prototyping funding of up to GHS 32,000.
  • Opportunity to register solutions as Digital Public Goods.

Eligibility Criteria: To apply, startups must meet the following criteria:

  • Operational for at least 1 year.
  • Registered business.
  • Technology as the core enabler.
  • Business model addressing at least one Sustainable Development Goal.
  • Open-source solutions encouraged.
  • Female-founded startups encouraged.
  • Open to startups from all regions of Ghana.

Application Process:

  • Sign in with a Gmail account.
  • Allocate 20-30 minutes for completion.
  • Have your company pitch deck ready for upload.
