Join the Young Energy Ambassadors and Make a Difference!

Are you passionate about sustainable energy and eager to inspire others? The Young Energy Ambassadors initiative is your chance to be a part of something impactful and exciting! Let’s break down what it’s all about.

What is the Young Energy Ambassadors initiative?

The Young Energy Ambassadors initiative is a fantastic opportunity for young professionals (aged 18 to 34) to connect with the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW). The goal is simple – to encourage young individuals to engage with and contribute to the sustainable energy sector.

What do Young Energy Ambassadors do?

As a Young Energy Ambassador, you become a representative of EUSEW’s young audience and play a crucial role in spreading the word about the event. The selected group consists of 30 young people from various backgrounds across Europe. You’ll be part of the European Youth Energy Day (EYED) in Brussels from June 11 to 13, 2024, with travel expenses and accommodation covered by the EUSEW organizing team. The Ambassadorship program runs from April 2024 to June 2025.

How can you apply?

To be eligible, you need to reside in Europe and carry out your activities, projects, and actions in at least one country within the European Union or the European Economic Area. You must be born after June 13, 1989, and no later than June 13, 2006. The application deadline is March 3, 2024.

What are the evaluation criteria?

Your application will be evaluated based on three criteria: Profile, Action, and Impact. Showcase your originality, personal journey, and contributions to the clean energy transition. The application process runs from January 30 to March 3, with results communicated in April 2024.

What are the values of Young Energy Ambassadors?

If you become a Young Energy Ambassador, you agree to uphold certain values and actions. These include:

  1. Responsibility and commitment: Take positive actions to support the energy transition and inspire others.
  2. Ambition: Challenge long-standing behaviors and assumptions to achieve climate and environmental goals.
  3. Action tailored to local contexts: Adapt your actions to local realities, sharing knowledge about European energy policies in your community.
  4. Diversity and inclusiveness: Act in accordance with European democratic and participatory values, breaking down barriers related to gender, age, disabilities, or other characteristics.

By joining the Young Energy Ambassadors program, you become a key player in promoting EUSEW and contributing to the sustainable energy policy debate.
