University of Nottingham Developing Solutions Master’s Scholarship

Introduction: The University of Nottingham is pleased to announce the Developing Solutions Master’s Scholarship for innovative and passionate students from African, South Asian, and selected Commonwealth countries. This flagship scholarship, established in 2001, aims to support students who aspire to make a positive impact on the development of key economic, environmental, structural, social, or political structures in their home countries.

Scholarship Details:

  • The scholarship covers 50% or 100% of full-time master’s tuition fees.
  • Available for one year to international students.
  • Eligible faculties: Engineering, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences.

Eligibility: To apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be domiciled in Africa, India, or one of the selected Commonwealth countries.
  • Be classified as an overseas student for fee purposes.
  • Hold an offer to start a full-time master’s program at the University of Nottingham in the academic year 2024/2025.

Ineligibility: Applicants are not eligible if they:

  • Are current students or graduates of the University of Nottingham.
  • Have studied and been awarded an undergraduate or master’s degree outside of their home country.
  • Are currently studying in the UK.

Eligible Countries: The scholarship is open to citizens of: Africa (all nations), Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

Application Process:

  1. Obtain an offer for a full-time master’s program at the University of Nottingham for 2024/2025.
  2. Apply through the scholarships section of the NottinghamHub application system.
  3. For MRes course offers, contact scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk for application instructions.
  4. Ensure all responses meet the word count limit specified for each question.
  5. Application deadline: Wednesday, 17 April 2024.
